Ramsons Preconstruction Program recognizes that the most crucial point in a construction project is actually preconstruction. Decisions made in this phase determine the cost, value and quality of the construction phase. As the infographic below indicates, as the design develops, the ability to influence cost decreases while the cost of making changes increases. It is therefore critical that our clients know their costs early in the process so informed decisions can be made. Our Preconstruction Program is designed to constantly monitor costs, communicate these costs to the team and make suggestions regarding options. We don’t just examine front-end costs, but also life cycle costs and the effect on design. Our job in the preconstruction phase is to identify, inform and recommend alternatives.
